MORE than 2,000 music-hungry revellers descended on Jobbers Wood near Bishop's Stortford for the town's first ever Cazfest music festival on Sunday (July 5).

The event, launched in memory of Bishop's Stortford High School student Caroline Johnstone, aimed to raise at least £20,000 for heart charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) - and while the final total hasn't been counted yet, organisers say that target has been smashed by a huge margin.

Caroline, who was born with a hole in the heart, died last summer aged 17 after collapsing while out with friends. Cazfest is the brainchild of her parents Johnny and Lesley as well as a committee of close friends.

It was headlined with a spellbinding set from London MOBO-winner Sway, backed by a line-up of incredible talent from both the local scene and beyond.
