Estate agent is named world leader

STAFF at the Bishop’s Stortford branch of Fine & Country in North Street are celebrating this week after the chain clinched two top titles.

At the International Property Awards – in association with Bloomberg Television and Google – the company, which specialises in properties worth more than £450,000, won World’s Best Marketing for the third year running.

Having already won the national stages of the International Property Awards, Fine & Country joined other national and international winners at The Savoy in London to lift the crown. The International Property Awards is the world’s most prestigious property competition throughout the global industry and recognises residential as well as commercial businesses. 

It was also handed the Gold Award for Best Prestige Property by adventurer and television presenter Ben Fogle at the Estate Agency of The Year Awards for the second year running.

Fine & Country’s chief executive Matthew Pryke said: “These award wins are the absolute icing on the cake for Fine & Country in 2011. This kick starts 2012 on a high note which we plan to continue throughout the year.” 

Paula Lawrence, senior negotiator at Stortford, said: “With prices continuing to grow in London, it is making property outside the capital seem even more affordable for London buyers.”
