Carer of the Year – sponsored by Fore Street Employment

Scores of people in the region carry out selfless work every day, taking on the responsibility of caring for others, whether it be a sick child, an elderly relative, people with disabilities or others who need help.

This award aims to honour such caring people.

 

Most Courageous Child Award – sponsored by Hanbury Manor

This category recognises youngsters who have displayed courage and/or bravery in different ways.

 

Young Achiever – sponsored by easyJet

Young people often get a bad press – but not in the Community Awards. We want to hear about youngsters under the age of 21 who have made an excellent contribution to their communities in all sorts of ways.

 

Lifetime Achievement

A very special award designed to honour someone who has made a real difference to their community over many years.

 

Unsung Hero

This award is designed to pay tribute to inspirational individuals who have gone that extra mile to help their community.

 

Volunteer of the Year – sponsored by Hertfordshire County Council

This category focuses on those dedicated individuals who regularly give up their own time to help charitable causes. It could be someone who works in a local charity shop or a volunteer worker who has worked tirelessly for a charity . . . a person who really is a volunteer or charity worker extraordinaire.

 

Good Neighbour – sponsored by London Stansted Airport

This award recognises neighbours with hearts of gold who put the needs of others before themselves. It is designed to reward those kind-hearted people who do so much for those around them.

 

Teacher of the Year

Teachers inspire youngsters every day with their input in the classroom. This award highlights their tremendous contribution to the education of our children.
