MOTORISTS are experiencing delays on the M11 near Bishop's Stortford this lunchtime (Friday, December 27) following a crash.
Traffic is backed up on the northbound carriageway as a result of the accident, which happened about two miles south of junction 8 for Stortford.
The collision involved a blue Ford Mondeo and a silver Vauxhall Zafira. Two people are believed to have suffered minor injuries.
The inside lane of the three-lane stretch was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
As a result, the traffic queue is reported to be backed up past junction 7, the turn-off for Harlow.
The Highways Agency says there is also congestion on the northbound stretch between junctions 10 (Duxford/A505) and 11 (Cambridge south).
