The Saffron Hotel in Saffron Walden High Street hosted the event with a range of local businesses showing off their wares to help couples design their perfect special day.

Around 100 people from the area attended during the all-day event, making the most of the experts on hand for practical tips and advice.

Valerie Treadwell, who runs the Saffron Hotel and organised the event, said: “We were delighted with the reaction from both our 24 stall holders and the large number of visitors who passed through on the day.

“All the stands looked fabulous and it was a lovely, friendly atmosphere, with everyone very positive about what could be put together.

“It was extra pleasing that we were able to really create a local feel and support other businesses, and we will certainly consider bringing it back in the future.”

Stands also included menu choices, clothing and venue promotion.

There were also tips on organising other celebrations, as well as weddings.
