DOZENS of runners from the Observer patch will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon tomorrow - and you'll be able to see how they fare by following our live blog.

The 37,000-strong field for the 26.2-mile event in the capital will feature men and women from the Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and north-west Essex area running for various charities close to their hearts.

It will also include a healthy contingent of more serious athletes from local clubs, including Bishop's Stortford Running Club, Saffron Striders and Ware Joggers.

They will be cheered on by family and friends - and it is THOSE people that the Observer is looking to to feed our live blog.

We want supporters to send us their photos of their loved ones as they make their way round the course, as well as any news, comments or opinions.

And not just pictures of our local runners . . . let's see your photos of any celebrities you spot, any runners in fancy dress or wacky outfits as well as London's landmarks.

Using your smartphone or tablet, please email your pictures - with an accompanying caption saying who's in the photo, where they come from and where it was taken - to editor Paul Winspear at paul.winspear@hertsessexnews.co.uk.

And those of you on Twitter can tweet us your photos and news. Follow us at @HertsEssexObser and use the hashtag #stortfordmarathon.
