The unbearably pretty Williams has been a rising star ever since Brokeback Mountain got her a best supporting actress nomination (although we’ve loved her since Dawson’s Creek) and now the My Week with Marilyn star has been nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars too.

Here’s how to get Michelle’s timeless look:

Hair: As a busy mum of one and a Hollywood darling to boot, a short crop makes sense for Michelle, but if you don’t fancy braving a pixie chop, try her ‘do’ as Marilyn.

Opt for platinum blonde curls that just hit the shoulder, with as much volume and movement as you can muster.

Eyes: To offset her understated diamond earrings and delicate dress, Ms Williams has gone for super striking eyes.

From the inner corners, apply silver, glittering eye shadow (Maybelline’s mono eye shadow in silver will work) on both lids; once you get to the middle taper out into heavy black kohl, only ever going up to the crease on the upper lid.
