Can you give Socks a home?
Socks arrived at ARC withdrawn and nervous, obviously missing her owner and home, but has since settled into life at the shelter and is now always seeking love and affection, often pausing for a nuzzle, thorough fuss and a ball to retrieve with gusto.
Socks has reached her full size and is a very gentle and sweet girl but still remains a little hesitant when meeting new people and other, unknown animals plus cats.
Socks is good to walk as she trots along glancing back every now and then for reassurance.
Sock’s tender exterior is only outshone by her matching temperament as she is playful with a responsive nature making her friend in waiting indeed.
Socks was brought to ARC through no fault of her own and is simply waiting to be part of the family once more, but the shelter staff recommend that ideally she be homed with older children as she is nervous around very small ones. Can you offer this fine lass a permanent pad?
She is fully house-trained and vaccinated.
Mutt of the Month is run in association with Animal Rescue Charity, Foxdells Lane, Bishops Stortford.
If you can give Socks a home, contact ARC by calling (01279) 501547 or email dogs@animalrescue.org.uk.
The charity always require additional volunteer dog walkers for mornings and/or afternoons to exercise their canine guests amidst the scenic countryside that surrounds the shelter. Call ARC if you can help.
