Big freeze ushers in third day of rail chaos (Feb 10)
TRAINS have been severely delayed or cancelled again today (Friday, February 10) following last night's snowfall.
New operator Abellio Greater Anglia says overhead wire problems are behind the latest round of setbacks, which have seen London, Cambridge and Stansted Airport-bound services scrapped or held back by up to 30 minutes.
Following a line-side fire on Wednesday, there were similar problems lasting most of the day, while faulty signals and a broken-down train paralysed the network for much of yesterday.
Abellio is currently warning that today's disruption could last until 7.30pm, although this alert will be lifted if the technical issues are fixed.
