Water leak under investigation

ENGINEERS are today, Friday October 31, investigating the source of an ongoing water leak in Bishop's Stortford.

Water has flooded gardens and driveways in the Norfolk Way area of town for several days, bubbling up through residents' lawns and drains.

A spokeswoman for Three Valleys Water said this morning that its engineers were on site today.

On Wednesday, one resident, Barry Butchart, of Chinnery Hill, said water was running down the road and feared people could slip with it icing over in the current cold snap.

Some believe the leak is related to work recently carried out by Three Valleys to upgrade the mains.
