Liam Parish, Callum Turner, Fiona Lemon, Maddy Rowe, Matthew Carter and Nathan McGhee, from the 1st Bishop’s Stortford and Hockerill Aztec troop, competed against 149 other teams from across the country to come joint first in the physically and intellectually demanding challenge.

The competition comprised four elements – orienteering, assault course, challenge incidents and night exercises – and was designed to test their leadership and teamwork skills.

The teenagers came first in the orienteering, third in the assault course and performed well in the other exercises to secure joint first place.

A second team made up of Sam Modridge, Henry Stuart-Turner, Tom Andrews, Josh Fletcher, Jordan Carter and Charlie Peace – all of who were competing for the first time finished in the 67th spot.
