A CHARITY that helps people who have suffered loss through car crashes in Herts can extend its services, thanks to a Herts County Councillor Jane Pitman.
The member for Braughing has allocated £100 from her locality budget to The Road Victims Trust.
The good cause will use the money to help towards the cost of providing support to two people living in Buntingford who have suffered loss as a result of a road collision.
The support offered is free to those who need it and includes regular counselling sessions and one to one help.
A total of £10,000 is available to each of the 77 members of Herts County Council to spend on community projects. Locality budgets were launched in July 2009, with funding to be used for worthy social, economic or environmental causes and for information on how to apply visit www.hertsdirect.org/localitybudget
