Bishop's Stortford 45, Tring 10

BISHOP'S Stortford RFC extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches when they beat Tring comfortably at home in National League 3 London and South East today (Saturday January 28).

NEW SKIPPER: Tom Coleman
SUCCESSFUL: Bishop's Stortford skipper Tom Coleman led his team to their twelfth consecutive win

Stortford scored seven tries through Jimmy Rea (2), Nick Harris, John Stocker, Richard McMillan, Mark McCraith and Maehe Austin.

Skipper Tom Coleman kicked five conversions.

The hosts' display was also marked by a solid platform laid by their forwards and by excellent defence.

Tring's sole try, which was converted, came just before the end and their other points came from a first half penalty.

The visitors' bad day was made worse when their wing Liam Chennells was sent off in the 72nd minute for throwing a punch at McCraith.

Stortford remain fourth in the table.
