A GOOD performance could not prevent Bishop's Stortford from losing at leaders Jersey on Saturday (January 30).

PROUD: Bishop's Stortford coach Peter Engledow saw his team push leaders Jersey all the way Stortford tested Jersey to the full and at one stage led by 12 points.

However, the class of Jersey shone through as they went on to win.

Jimmy Rea scored both of Stortford's tries, while Tom Coleman kicked one conversion and a penalty.

Stortford's defeat was considerably narrower to the one at home in October when they lost 52-10 to Jersey.

Stortford remain in 8th spot.
