Daggers boss Still loves Stortford FC link-up

By Alan Scott
DAGENHAM boss and Blues legend John Still has pledged to continue the link-up between Bishop’s Stortford and his League One club.

Still, a member of Stortford’s 1974 FA Amateur Cup-winning team, was in the crowd for Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Bromley as he ran the rule over Hakeem Araba and Sanchez Ming.

“This is one of my old clubs and I will always try and keep the link,” Still said.
Araba left the Victoria Ground last season, but Ming is on a dual registration and could return to Dagenham if he continues to impress.
“I just really came to see how they were getting on,” Still said. “I think Sanchez has done alright. He was on trial in the summer [at Dagenham] and I had a look at him. I wanted him to get some games.”
There has been a conveyor belt of talent jump on the yellow brick road between Woodside Park and the League One club over the last six years, notably ex-Blues favourites Dave Rainford, Glen Southam and more recently Danny Green.
