KEEPER Nicky Eyre and forward Bertie Brayley have both quit Woodside Park for financial reasons.
Eyre was a popular figure and capable keeper for Bishop's Stortford after joining the Blues from St Albans City at the start of the 2008-09 season.

THE DEPARTED: Nicky Eyre
He was also the Player of the Year last season.
Former West Ham United youth team player Brayley had two spells at Woodside Park this season after being at Chelmsford City.
At Stortford, Brayley has either operated up front with the likes of Lewis Smith or Charlie Sheringham, or on the left wing.
Brayley was more of a provider than a scorer of goals.
Blues boss Mark Simpson said: "At this stage of the season when you still need two wins [for safety] you want to keep your experienced players. However pound notes talk. Nicky is getting married this summer and that comes first. He has gone to the end of the season. He wants to concentrate on his football coaching and once he has got that out of the way he might come back. We have been talking about it for two months."
He added: "Bertie is a car dealer and needs to work on Saturdays which is a very busy day for him. He had to also pull out of the Havant game [on a Monday] otherwise he would have missed a sale.
"He has been at big clubs in the past with big budgets but we have not got a big budget."
Simpson did say the club retained both players' registration in the case of an emergency.
Eyre's departure leaves Nick Morgan as the Blue Square South club's number one. Other options are Ben Stone and highly promising youth team keeper Bert Greenwood.
Simpson has no plans to replace Brayley with a new signing.
Loui Riddle could have filled the left flank role in midfield but he is currently out with a hamstring injury, although Ashley Nicholls is a possibility.

Nicholls is predominantly a central midfielder but could fill that berth for the Chelmsford City game this Saturday, as Scott Shulton and Max Lette Jallow currently hold the two central midfield positions.
