Bishop's Stortford 0, Welling Utd 4
(Blue Square South)
CHARLIE Sheringham was left red-faced as his old team thrashed his new one 4-0 at Woodside Park this afternoon (Saturday January 30).

Welling United only led 1-0 at the break but netted three times in the second half to leave Bishop’s Stortford fans glum.
Striker Sheringham was facing the side he left last season to join Blues in a £6,500 deal.
The Wings took the lead after only four minutes when Tom Whitnell poked home after Lee Clarke’s initial shot was blocked on the line.
Just before the half-hour mark Welling’s Andy Pugh hit a post.
The visitors were awarded a penalty just four minutes after the break when Stortford’s new loan signing, Alex Bentley, was deemed to have fouled Pugh.
Clarke scored from the spot.
On 53 minutes it was 3-0 after Pugh fired home from long range.
The scoring was wrapped up on 83 minutes when Jack Parkinson headed in from a corner.
