AIR guitarists will be spoiled for choice when two classic rock tribute bands strut their stuff in the Observer area.
On Saturday (February 25), Great Bardfield’s High Barn and Rhodes in Bishop’s Stortford are hosting performances by two top doppelgangers.
At High Barn, UK-based ZZ Top tribute act The ZZ Tops – who’ve been praised as “the closest I’ve seen” by the original band’s guitarist Billy Gibbons – will be hitting the stage.
Touting all the hallmarks of the Texas boogie rockers, including their signature fluffy guitars and outsized beards, The ZZ Tops will take the crowd through every era of their heroes’ careers.
Meanwhile, over in Stortford, Queen impersonators The Bohemians will be getting ready to rock you. Established in 1996, their visually spectacular show has been dubbed the favourite of Queen’s official fan club.
The evening, part of an ongoing tour, will cover the band’s complete history from operatic 70s prog-rockers to 80s stadium giants.
Both shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets to The ZZ Tops are £12 and tickets to The Bohemians are £16. More at www.high-barn.com / (01371) 811291 or www.rhodesbishopsstortford.org.uk / (01279) 651746.
