PHOTO OF THE MONTH: December's Theme - Festive Season

A PORTFOLIO of stunning shots has led to Nick Martin being named as the overall winner of the Observer's Photo of the Month competition for 2011.

FOR this month the theme is 'Neglect'.

NOWADAYS our shrinking industrial output tends to be out of town. A hundred years ago things were very different with Bishop's Stortford for example boasting flour mills, match factories and hat manufacturers, all within walking distance of the town centre.
