FOR this month the theme is ‘The Festive Season’.
This could be an abstract view of decorations. Just move around a Christmas tree and see how the reflections and light change.
Always consider possible viewpoints and angles before pressing the shutter button. This will be an ideal opportunity to take some low light shots at night or just when it’s getting dusk.
Use a tripod and a slow shutter speed for the desired effect.
If all that tinsel and light doesn’t grab your imagination just make sure that the theme is evident in your pictures and we’ll look forward to seeing and announcing the results along with the overall winner of 2011 in the New Year.
The winner will be selected by Catchlight Photography. If you’d like to learn more about photography with their ‘One to One Personal Workshops’ visit http://www.catchlightphotographers.co.uk/ and go to ‘Photography Workshops’.
The closing date for entries is the end of December. The winner will be announced in the Observer.
Send your entry in using the form below, making sure you fill in every field. NO MORE THAN FIVE PHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE PUBLISHED FROM ANY ONE PERSON PER MONTH.
