BUDDING David Baileys can learn to get the most from their hobby by signing up to new masterclasses at Rhodes.
On February 16, the Bishop’s Stortford arts centre is launching a pair of workshops called Get To Know Your Digital Camera, which is tailored to absolute beginners.
They will be hosted by the Bishop’s Stortford Museum’s own snapper Sarah Stephens, who photographed artefacts from the archives for the venue’s recent Beautiful, Vulnerable and Inaccessible exhibition.
Sarah will show participants how to get beyond the automatic settings of their camera, using the manual functions for greater control over things like exposure and shutter speed.
As well as tackling the theory behind it, the sessions will include a series of hands-on activities and opportunities for students to review their work throughout.
They take place at 7pm on February 16 and 23, costing £22.50 each. Tickets are not available online – ring (01279) 651746 to make a booking or see www.rhodesbishopsstortford.org.uk for more info.
